Spartans won the toss & batted first. Jagdish & Sumit steadied the innings after Soubhagya Shekhar was out early. They started slowly but soon started picking ones & twos with ease. Thanks to their excellent partnership, Spartan were at 65/1 in 9 overs. However both of them were dismissed in quick succession. Amit Sharma & Hemant Munot took Spartans to a respectable total of 93/6. Sumit Gade top scoring with 23 while Arun took 2 wickets.

United X1 started the chase slowly and kept pace with the runrate till the mandatory powerplay overs. All of the top order batsmen got starts but couldnot carry on as the Spartan battery of slow medium pacers and spinners cast a web around them. Amit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets giving away 13 runs. Spartans won the match by 24 runs.
