Match report 2014 SPC OPL Tennis 90th vs Mahindra Tigers

90th loss the toss for umpteenth time and were put into bat by Mahindra Tigers. 90th Captain, blamed the coin and said he was not happy with it. Khan Imran ( 4 runs) opened the innings with Imtiaz. Suleman Khatri soon followed Imran after making 6 runs. Sunny took the first two wickets. Haroon Idrees and Imtiaz started rebuilding the innings and at the end of 9th over, 90th were well placed at 71-2. Anil playing for Mahindra Tigers then got the wicket of Haroon, 29 runs (2x6, 1x4). Anil and Hemant, each bowled couple of good overs in the end and did not allow 90th to accelerate the run rate. 90th lost three more wickets to end at 94-6 in 14th over. Imtiaz carried his bat and remained unbeaten with 42 runs (3 x4). For Mahindra, Hemant led the bowling with figures of 4-0-25-3. He was well supported by Sunny 3-0-17-2 and Anil with 4-0-29-1.

Mahindra started the chase well. They were 35-1 in 4 overs and then reached 57-2 in 8 overs. Target came down to 30 runs of final 5 overs with 6 wickets in hand. 90th, sensing the game is getting out of their hand brought Nohman Siddiqui back into attack.He got the wicket of Sunny Mathew and Praveen Injapuram (playing for Mahindra) and started the collapse. Ankit Sikarwar playing for 90th bowled with venom and pace from the other end and Mahindra lost last 6 wickets for 4 runs. Nohman and Ankit picking three wickets each. Ankit ended with figures of 2.2-0-9-3 and is on hat trick for the next game. Nohman was unplayable in the end and had bowling figures of 4-0-11-3. Imran and Nabi both ended with figures of 2-0-15-1. Haroon keeping the wicket for most part of the innings took 4 great catches behind the stumps. 90th won the game by 25 runs and ended the T-16 league on high note. 90th, would like to thank Ankit for showing up at a last minute request and playing for the team.
