Overlords vs Falcons OPL tennis ball game:

With the last nights rain fall, pitch and outfield was all wet and clouds were still looming clearly suggesting a low scoring game with difficult batting conditions. Falcons won important toss and rightly put Overlords to bat on.
Overlords started with Vishal and Shikhar and with ball getting wet and skidding off the pitch it was difficult to bat on.Vishal got out in second over and Suresh Gorantla went to the crease.
After a cautious start Overlords started scoring runs. Suresh Gorantla top scored from Overlords scoring 21 in 21 in difficult batting conditions and most of other batsman chipped in with single digit runs. Overlords ended up 69/7 in 14 overs.

Falcons chasing 70, Overlords knew that it is not going to be easy task in such difficult conditions for batting. And Overlords right away put the pressure on Falcons in second over by a wonderful bowl by Chandra and equally wonderful catch by Avinash of Qasim.
With some disciplined bowling from Chandra and Ankit, Falcons was restricted to 23/2 in 6 overs. Now Falcons needing run a ball in 8 overs and Overlords was all pumped up and attacking in the field it could have been anybody's game.

Avinash and Shovik then came in to the attack and dusted falcons in next 6.1 overs claiming 3 wickets each, Falcons was all out on 42 in 12.1 overs.
Sufiyan was the highest scorer from Falcons scoring 13 runs was wonderfully caught by Chandra on deep point. Overlords bowling was well supported by attacking fielding of Overlords which had few awesome catches and 2 run outs of Vipul and Sunny.


Overlords win by 27 runs and Avinash was MoM for his 3 wickets and 2 catches.
