Match report 2014 MACL NCC vs PROKARMA

NCC won the toss and elected to field. The Prokarma openers batted confidently and withstood the initial barrage. With pace bowlers not being really effective, Sriram Surapaneni turned to the slower bowling of himself and Francis Origanti. The veteran, Francis, did the trick accounting for Injapuram (35 runs in 27 balls) and quickly took two more to stop the runs. Deepak Navi then came in and cleaned the tail, ending the inning with a hat-trick (bowled, caught at slip, bowled). ProKarma finished on 109 allout. In the chase, the NCC batsman found it hard in the face of some determined bowling but the low target meant there was less pressure on the batsmen. Phil Blake, Francis Origanti and Deepak Navi hit a few sixes and brought the target very close when ProKarma stuck in rapid succession leaving NCC 7 wickets down. However, Gaurav Patil held his nerve and guided NCC to a 3 wicket win.
