Match report 2014 SPC OPL Tennis T16 90TH vs UNO Durangos (UDCC)

UNO won a good toss and correctly put 90th into bat. Wet outfield and ball skidding through the surface caused problems for 90th very early in the innings and they lost three quick wickets. Then Qasim and Kashif batted sensibly and started building the innings. Qasim scored 29 and Mohammad Kashif Akhtar scored 19 runs and added crucial 45 runs for 5th wicket. None of the others 90th batsmen reached double figure. Once both of them got out , UNO stuck to the task and restricted 90th to 79-7 in 14 overs. Sumanth Ghanta bowled an excellent spell of 4-0-11-4 and Shiva supported him with figures of 3-0-17-2 .

In reply UNO found going even tougher. Nohman found his mojo and bowled with great pace and accuracy taking early wickets. He finished with figures of 4-1-12-4. Nohman was supported by Nabi with figures of 3-0-14-2. Jawad ( 4-0-15-1) turning into one of the fastest bowlers in Omaha also bowled well but was unlucky with drop catches of his bowling. For UNO, Rohit remained unbeaten with 19 and was the top scorer. None of the other batsmen reached double figures for UNO. Asad playing for 90th kept the wicket and took great catches behind the wicket and was involved in the first three wickets to fall. 90th restricted UNO to 56-9 in 14 overs and gave UNO first loss of the season in T-16 league.
