Match report 2014 MACL Cricket Ball Game NCC vs UNO Durangos

UNO won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Lakshman and Krishna Chaitanya couldnt give a good start, UNO lost KC's wicket in the second over for a great run out. There after Santosh Vemu and lakshman stabilized The innings and added 30runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Mohan played a remarkably brave innings and scored 59 runs. Uno was able to put a decent enough target to defend. UNO 142/5 in 20 Overs, NCC bowlers Aniket, Sriram & Chiranjib took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target NCC started proceedings with Chiranjeeb and krishna. Both gave a good start and NCC lost chiranjeeb's wicket to Shiva boddeboyina in the long on area. Krishna and JJ successfully utilized the start and maintained the required run rate below 6. Thats when the UNO bowlers bounced back. Surya Penmatsa had a blast with the ball helped UNO to gain back the momentum, Shiva from the other end played a cameo role in the middle overs. And surya got the wicket of JJ with an amazing catch by Praveen which was a match turner, there after ncc kept on loosing wickets. Uno fielders made a great comeback on the field and sent 2 of NCC batsmen to the pavilion. NCC had to score 30 runs in last 4 overs which was a gettable one. The humid added to the match heat in last 4 overs, Aniket Sawant looked good by hitting a Sixer in Lakshman Sp bowling, and hit a boundary in Purathatil Krishnan bowling. As a result ncc were a step behind winning the game, 5 runs required in last over. Lakshman with his express pace bowling gave no room to even touch a ball, and as a result He got a maiden wicket in last over. And UNO won by 4 runs.NCC 138/7 in 20 Overs. UNO Bowlers Lakshman, Krishna, Shiva, Mohan, Surya took 1 wicket each.

Man of the Match: Lakshman for scoring 25 runs and bowling last over.
