Match report First Semi-Final of 2012 ConAgra Cup

Riders Captain Asad won the toss and elected to bowl first. Riders Bowlers were bowling right on the line and length and did not gave Royals any room to make runs. Sandeep bowled really good by giving 2 maidens and 1 wicket. Abdul bowled really well in the semi final and took 3 wickets entering himself in the top 10 bowlers. Azeem took 2 wickets. Kranthi & Rajshekhar took 1 wicket each. Omaha Royals batsmen manged to make a target of 69/8 in 16 Overs. Arun scored the highest 9 runs.

Riders started the innings with Asad & Suleman but both the openers did not performed good and was out quickly. Rajshekhar steady the innings but was caught out by Roopesh. Omaha Royals Bowlers Roopesh & Ramu were bowling with a big fist to win the game and they were taking Riders wickets in consecutive spells. As soon as Sandeep got out pressure was developing on Riders very much as wickets were falling out continuously. Azeem was still on the crease and was in full confidence to get the game but unfortunately got caught out by Jigar. Imay hit a six and bring the equation to 8 runs in 24 balls. But Royals bowlers were bowling right to the line and got Riders wickets. Imay was on the other hand and was waiting for the strike to get the game for Riders. Last wicket of Nohman was left & the whole crowd was in a dilemma who will win but in the end a brilliant catch taken by Debdas took the game in Royals Hand. And the whole crowd was celebrating the victory of Omaha Royals. This was the Game of the Whole Tournament.Roopesh bowled really well & well supported by other Royals bowlers Arun, Ramu & Jigar.

Both the Captains & teams respected each other after a big 1st Semi final Game.

Riders lost by 4 runs.
