Match report The match between Super Kings and Falcons on 6/28 @ 5:30 PM was a nail-biting affair.

On a bright and sunny day, Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat.

With Elan, Dinesh and Venkat departing early, it was upto Rajiv and Varun to do some damage control. They managed to do just that by taking the score from 15/3 to 43/3 in 7 overs. Couple of quick wickets again put Super Kings in a mode of panic but a few cameo innings from Sarath, Sudhakar and Ashutosh made sure that Super Kings reached to a respectable total of 79. Rajiv B top scored with 17 runs.

Super Kings felt it was a decent enough score to defend if they take a few early wickets.

With 80 required in 14 overs, Falcons never looked in control at the start. Super Kings were on the top by taking quick wickets and getting half their side for 20 runs. Then Sufyaan and Jagdeesh took the innings in control by scoring a few quick runs and a couple of boundaries. They took the score to 46/5 before Jagdeesh holed out a catch in the deep. With good support from Sami and Ankur, Sufyaan played his shots and took the score to 65 before getting out. With 19 runs required in 18 balls, it was anybody's game. Falcons were looking to take the game away with 5 runs required in the last over with 2 wickets in hand. Super Kings kept their calm and composure to set a good field and bowling according to that. As a result, Sami got out with Falcons needing 4 runs in 5 balls. Next 3 balls were dots and with 4 runs needed in 2, Lahiru took a wild swing but was caught behind by Sarath who was a makeshift keeper for this game. Super Kings eventually bundled Falcons out for 76 runs in 13.5 overs. Sufyaan top scored for Falcons with 24 runs.

So, Super Kings won this match by 3 runs with all their bowlers among wickets. Ashutosh took 4 wickets and Elan, Varun and Vinith took 2 wickets each.

Quite a few contenders for the MoM award. Rajiv B with 17 runs, Elan with 2 wickets (1 was Priyan's), 2 great catches, Ashutosh with 4 wickets and Vinith's 2 wickets and great death bowling but MoM goes to Varun for his all round performance of 14 runs, 2 wickets and 1 important catch of Sami.
